The Metropolis of Teotihuacán

Located some thirty miles northeast of Mexico City, Teotihuacán (meaning "City of the Gods") was the religious, political, and economic center of an immense territory. At its height, the arts and sciences, including mathematics, astronomy, architecture, and sculpture, flourished.
