Invasión Yanqui:

A Note to Teachers

This lesson is divided into two parts. Part I, “The War and Its Aftermath,” discusses why we need to know more about the Mexican-American War and its lasting impact on the two nations and their relationship. Part II, “Learning Activities,” presents questions to answer, ideas to ponder, activities to conduct, and products to create. While some questions expect distinctly different levels of skill and understanding, ranging from grade school through graduate studies, some questions can be adapted for use at several levels. In general, these activities fulfill the TEKS requirements enumerated.
