(above) TABULA MEXICALE ET FLORIDAE Peter Schenck, 1722 San Jacinto Museum Delisle's map was copied by a number of competitors, including Peter Schenck, who published his version in 1722, and Johann Baptist Homann, who published his map in 1725. Both Schenck and Homann altered the Delisle map only by the addition of vignettes in the corners.
