Pancake Bay is on the bleak east coast of Lake Superior, about 65 miles (105 km) north of the two cities of Sault Ste. Marie. The Canada-United States boundary cuts through the lake about 10 miles offshore from this point. Pancake Bay is the site of a small Ontario Provincial park.
