Snow-covered Boundary Mountains, seen from the air, Alaska/British Columbia

(Taken during a flight from Whitehorse, Yukon, to Juneau, Alaska)

The British Columbia–Alaska border is about 825 miles long, and much of it runs through the Coast Mountains. The rainbow effect in this photograph is caused by the passage of light rays through the layers of the aircraft window and then through the camera's polarizing film.
