LEOPARD'S HEAD
Included among articles of apparel buried with Tutankhamun were two "leopard skins" packed tightly with a mass of other materials in chests. One of the "skins" was only an imitation made of cloth. The other, to which this head belonged, was a real leopard skin. The head, however, is not real: it is made of wood, covered with gesso and overlaid with gold.
