CEREMONIAL CHAIR

All evidence suggests that this fine piece of furniture and the footstool found with it were intended for use by the king in a religious ceremony, probably at his coronation.

Although this chair is regarded as being made of cedar, it has been identified as belonging to a coniferous species known as "Cilician fir."
