Are you ready to walk around Pompeii? Take a good look at the site map. Find the seven gates on the outside wall. The compass rose indicates direction. Notice the scale of meters. You may want to trace the scale onto a small piece of paper to use as you walk around the town.

Enter the Vesuvius Gate on the north west side of the city. You have several errands to do before you meet your friend for lunch.
