Wine cup, first half of the 2nd millennium BC.

This graceful wine cup, with delicate legs, flared rim, and attenuated spout, is about 3,800 years old. It is one of the earliest Chinese bronze vessels so far known. Although the inward-folding edge of the rim seems to imitate a vessel made of sheet metal, the entire cup was made in one casting.
