The solid cast winged figure, who wears sandals, earrings, and the remnant of a long mantle, is conventionally called a Nike, for the goddess of Victory, but it is actually the female counterpart of male Erotes (winged images of Eros, the Greek god of love, identified with the Roman Cupid).
